A client in Chicago called me in June with a challenge. She wanted to surprise her husband with a custom-framed photo, but his birthday was only a week away.
Fortunately, I partner with some great people. Paul Lane at Photo Source had the print ready within a day, and the team at Good’s of Evanston framed it beautifully on an accelerated schedule.
Everything came together, and my client’s gift was ready for pickup on her husband’s big day. She was kind enough to share this shot of “Sunrise with Cloud” in its new home.
A New Vantage Point
I spent time with my family in Empire, Michigan this week, and I came away with a whole new appreciation for our vast and beautiful lake.
Empire is a tiny town in northern Michigan known as the gateway to the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. This unique natural area is home to the largest freshwater dunes in the world, plus inland lakes, rivers and forests. The main dune has a silhouette resembling a sleeping bear, hence the name. Read one interpretation of the Native-American legend of Sleeping Bear Dunes.
