The One Earth Film Festival kicks off in the Chicago area tomorrow, March 2. I’m excited to view several films this year, but there’s one in particular that I recommend — Making Waves: Battle for the Great Lakes.
This Emmy award-winning documentary explores the threats that invasive species pose to our lakes, as well as the work lots of good people are doing to combat them. It will be shown three times during the festival:
Saturday, March 3, 3:00 pm
Jackson Park Fieldhouse, Chicago
Sunday, March 4, 12:00 pm
Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, Chicago
Sunday, March 4, 12:30 pm
St. Giles Catholic Church, Oak Park
I'll be at the Sunday screening, manning a table for the Alliance for the Great Lakes. Stop by and say hi!
And check out all the other great films you can see at oneearthfilmfest.org. A post-film discussion follows each one. Enjoy!
