Racing Tips
I’ve raced sailboats since I was young, but watching it from shore can be a challenge (my mother used to call it, “watching paint dry.”) But out on the lake when you’re in a boat, it’s like a chess game on an undulating board. When I took this photograph, I was out with friends watching a race. As we bobbed on the deep green swells, the Kevlar sails of the racers came in and out of view.
